  • Dr. Marcia Hood

    Dr. Marcia Hood’s performing interests fuse the three disciplines: singing professionally, serving as Director of Choral Activities at Albany State University, and performing classical piano and harpsichord literature.  Hood has gained regional reputation as a cantata/oratorio specialist, both singing and conducting. She is currently the Chair of the Department of Fine Arts at Albany State University and the Director of Choral Activities where she conducts the world travelled Albany State University Concert Chorale and the ASU Chamber Singers, and teaches choral conducting. In addition, Dr. Hood serves as the president of the Board of Directors for the Albany Symphony as well as Coordinator of Choral Activities for the Symphony, and the conductor of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Chancel Choir.

    Dr. Hood is featured in Cambridge Who’s Who publication, and is the recipient of the Phi Delta Kappa Outstanding Service to Music Education Award as well as the Outstanding Music Educator Druid Arts Award given by the Arts Council of Tuscaloosa.  She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society, Delta Kappa Gamma Education Sorority, National Association for Music Education (NAfME), American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

  • Robert Clay Jr., Sexton

    An Albany native, Robert Clay has served St. Paul’s as sexton since March of 2005. Robert attended Westover High and has worked for Pratt Industries for almost 30 years. He and his wife Ginger have seven children, 21 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. When asked what he likes about working at St. Paul’s, he said, “I don’t like St. Paul’s. I LOVE it!” As sexton, Robert maintains the St. Paul’s physical plant, sets up and breaks down events, fixes most everything that is broken, and much, much more.

  • Velma McClary, Housekeeper

    Velma McClary has been at St. Paul's since early 2002. As housekeeper, and nursery worker and often our Sunday Morning breakfast Chef. Velma's warm welcome makes everyone feel a part of the parish.
